Since starting his career in engineering and data systems management, Craig William Taylor has built a reputation for excellence through hard work and a commitment to improving his community.
Craig William Taylor attended the College of Engineering at the University of California, Davis, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering in 1996. Shortly thereafter, he attended the institution’s Graduate School of Management where, in 2002, Craig William Taylor received a Master of Business Administration.
As a young Boy Scout, Craig William Taylor developed an interest in community service while he worked to eventually earn the rank of Eagle Scout. Today, Craig William Taylor remains interested in community service and contributes to many public service organizations and charities. Some of these include the Arthritis Foundation, Ronald McDonald House Charities, and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Craig William Taylor’s career as a data systems manager and engineer spans some 15 years. During that time, Craig William Taylor has compiled a track record for versatility and excellence. One of Craig William Taylor’s early jobs was at Roberts Technical Services in Pleasant Hill, California, where he served as a Systems Application Engineer in the Fall of 1996. His main duties involved the operation of the Plant Information (PI) server, troubleshooting client software, and working at the help desk.
Most of Craig William Taylor’s career has been at Genentech, his current employer. Craig William Taylor’s first period at the company was from 1998-2001, when he was a Database Specialist and Engineer. In this capacity, Craig William Taylor supervised the creation and maintenance of a data infrastructure for making plant data available to user groups. After successfully designing and building an online data center to encourage additional knowledge sharing, Craig William Taylor oversaw the rollout of an employee recognition program at Genentech. Craig William Taylor returned to Genentech in 2005, where he works presently as a Sr. Data Systems Engineer.
